Well Happy Valentines Day. I am currently typing with my gift from Dustin. He got me a wireless keyboard and mouse which I absolutely LOVE!! He worked in the morning and we went out to dinner that night. We supported our ward's youth as they held a fundraiser dinner. It was really nice. They took our coats, and served our food, and even tended our kids so we could enjoy the evening. We have some great youth. It was a fun night. We sat by the Bishop/my boss and his wife and some other friends and had a great night.
Now for the hair part of the post.
I thank Angie for sharing the links to the blog with the hair ideas. I have been really bad about doing my girls hair lately because I have to have us all out the door at 7:00 am 4 days a week. So this last long weekend I took the time to try out some new do's. Here are a couple pics of a few of them.
This is nothing fancy but Kenz doesn't have much hair. It is just a 'puffy braid' going back at a side angle.
This is Haylee's fancy hair she called it. We did 2 pony's and did upside down knots (where you take the hair through itself) and then just curled it.
Kenzie has the same 'do' with only 1/2 pulled up and her hair doesn't really curl yet.
This is our favorite. 'Hearts' - two top pony's, upside down knots and then split and braided. Then we hooked the braids into the pony tail and made messy pony's.
Hopefully more to come.

Happy Birthday Haylee!!
Wow. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. 5 years ago (also on a Friday the 13th) my beautiful little girl came into this world. She was 6 weeks early and already asserting her independence. For 2 weeks she stayed in the NICU as she learned to fight for what she wanted. Now she fights with her siblings all the time. :) Haylee is the sweetest little girl. She always wants to help me in the kitchen and is such a good big sister. She has always been very empathetic with others. If you cry she will cry. It doesn't matter what you are crying about she will be there to cry with you. She became grandpa's girl during the 10 months that we lived with my parents while Dustin was in the Academy. As the first grandaughter on both sides she is still grandpa's girl. Haylee loves to read books, and play with her friends. She doesn't like chicken enchiladas, spiders, or dogs. (If you have met our dog no explanation needed. He is as big as her.)
Haylee you are my little bug and I love you so much!!! Happy 5th Birthday.
Haylee with her hat from preschool.
The theme for her birthday was a Hawaiian Luau in February.
This is her beach party cake.
She had friends over for a party and played Chicken Limbo and had Hawaiian pizza and slushies to eat.

She got some great stuff. Thanks so much to all her friends (and their mothers!! Angie I can't believe what a cute apron you made and Tosha she loves the tutu... but so does Kenzie)
Haylee wanted a Wii game that she could play so she got the Disney Princess game.
She now has all the fairies from the Tinkerbell movie.
Yay a Barbie to swim in the tub with her.
And last but not least finally mom and dad got her a bike!and of course Jayce is making sure she gets all the candles out with one blow.

Shoe Queen
I wish I had more pictures of my little shoe lover. I will have to remember to take some more. Every time I turn around Kenzie is getting into someone's shoes, if not hers, then her sister's, or mine or Dustin's.
These are her new princess shoes. She is ready to go off to bed now.
These are Haylee's shoes.

Basketball Season
Jayce has been playing Jr. basketball over in Mt. Pleasant. It is hard to make it over to all of his games but I have made it to a few of them. He is doing really good this year. He gets in there and shoots the ball at the basket. He even makes it about 1/2 the time now. He has his last game on Feb. 18 and starts right in to wrestling.

It wasn't me
Contrary to what Dustin might tell you, I did not hit him with a 2x4, my fist, a bat, or anything else. I don't know why he has to tell everyone that! He does have shingles... for those like me who didn't know what that was it is a 2nd outbreak of chicken pox but it happens on the nerves in your body. His happened to be on his face. Apparently they are very painful and take a while to heal but are not contagious. If you see him make sure he doesn't tell you any lies.... :)
