Piano Festival and Recital

This has been Haylee's first year taking piano lessons. She really loves it and has a great teacher. 

She competed in her first piano festival and got superior rating on her songs from all the judges. I bought her frostys to celebrate. one for each superior rating. Good thing she shared with the other kids.

She also had her Piano recital this month where she got to show off her songs to everyone. 

I am so glad she is loving this new adventure and hope she continues on to be able to play in church someday.

The girls wanted to help me make Haylee's birthday cake so we put on our aprons and had a good time.

I love this tradition of doing some funs pics around holidays.  I even got my nephew to do some since Jayce is "too old"

Date night!!

Dustin won some tickets to a Jazz game courtesy of a generous donor and the Highway Patrol. We had dinner, rode the tracks and had a great time in some awesome seats.

new floors = new counches

I needed some new couches to go with the new floors :)

New floor

We have decided to put in some wood floor upstairs instead of replacing the worn carpet.  It has been a "fun" project :)

since I had to move the piano anyway so I refinished it  with some sanding and a new coat of varnish

also painted an accent wall... 

the corners are horrid to do!
