I've decided it is almost harder to take pictures of your own children. They are too comfortable in the studio and just play around instead. I tried to take pictures of Kenzie now that she is almost 2 but not sure I got anything I really wanted. We might try again soon.
This one is probably my favorite.

New hairstyles and a dinner
Dustin's brother's wedding is tomorrow and the dinner is tonight so I had to try out some new hairstyles for the girls. Haylee's didn't turn out at all but Kenzie's was way cute. We'll have to see what tomorrow brings.
The dinner was very nice. Karen put a lot of work into making it beautiful. The food was good and plentiful and the company enjoyable. Whitney's family is so nice. I really like them very much.

Grandma's Birthday Party
We recently had a birthday party for my Grandma Steck. It was great to get lots of the family down to celebrate. Grandma is such a Trooper. I love her so much and have so much respect for her and my grandpa. They have been through so much together. They raised 7 kids, have 31 grandchildren, and 9 great grandkids. What a legacy. Grandma has been battling cancer for a while. It has been a hard fight but she has taken it by the horns and fought hard. She is preparing yet again for another round of chemo and I want to express my love for her and let her and grandpa know they are always in my prayers.
Here are some pics from the party:
Grandpa with grandson Gavin and great-grandaughter Josephine.
Grandma and Grandpa with Gavin, Josephine and granddaughter Isabella
My dad with Grandma as they gave her her birthday present.
Uncle Randy showing Grandma her present
Loren and my dad made her a cabinet for all her "pretties". She was very excited about having a safe place for them.
Hugs... a very tender moment. I bawled.
The "hooligans". This is one awesome family.

Wrestling
Jayce has been wrestling for the past couple of weeks. He tries so hard but usually gets beat all the time. The first pics are from Delta's meet. He pretty much got creamed...

His second one that we went to was in Juab. He did a lot better. He lost the first but then won the next 2 or 3. He ended up taking 2nd place which was awesome because then we found out his finger had a fracture on the growth plate so he is done wrestling for this year. Bummer.

Dress myself
Miss Kenzie likes to pick her own shoes and accessories. Totally a girl. What I have to laugh about is her choice of shoes and her favorite hat.....I know I have posted shoe pictures before... here are some more: (note, once again these are NOT her shoes. Why she has to wear everyone else's is beyond me.)
Lately she has been so funny about what she says. She is so good to her dolls. She takes care of them like a good little mommy. The other day her doll was "crying" and she says, "Oh my heck baby. Just be quiet." I was laughing so hard.

Still alive
I don't think I have taken any pictures of anything we have been doing since Valentines Day. How lame am I? We are still here though and doing fine. I have been doing a few photography jobs, and trying to get some projects done. We finished framing our basement and got the heating put in. We are now just waiting for an electrician to find some time to come do the wiring. It would be nice to make some progress down there. As the weather warms up we will be finishing the last side of our yard with a fence and hopefully installing a sprinkler system. It will be SOOOOO nice!! not to have to drag hoses around anymore.
Jayce has started wrestling so I will work on getting some pictures up from one of his meets. Dustin's brother BJ is getting married in a couple of weeks. Last weekend we went to watch his sister do the promenade at her Jr. Prom. She looked so pretty. I can't believe she was 8 when we got married. Talk about the time flying.
Anyway, I promise to be on top of things..... maybe. I am grateful for my children for everything that having them means. For the messes because it means they had fun, for the dishes in the sink because it means we had something to eat, and for bedtime because it means I get some desperately needed quiet time :)
