Jayce turns 12

I know right?!  12!!!!   where did the time go. I can't believe he is already this old.

He was up at scout camp for his actual birthday so the kids and I took his camp cookies and said hi. 

We celebrated a few days later with the presents and fun.

A day with my children

I recently saw someone do this and I thought it was a great idea. I took a whole day and I didn't do any of my projects or work and I spent the day with my children. From the moment until they woke up until the last one fell asleep I was there with them. That day I found that I had more patience with them, they didn't fight as much, and we had a lot of fun together. As the day progressed I lost a couple along the way...  my oldest went swimming with a friend and my other daughter went out to a movie with her friend so then you just get photos with the youngest until they are all back home and I tuck them in bed. Just looking at the pictures I can remember what a great day we had.

I think this is something I will want to do on occasion to remind me that the most important thing on my to-do list is to just spend time with my children. They don't stay this way for long.

New fun

 Remember that new car? well..  it sort of took the swingset $ so instead we decided to get the kids a trampoline. :)  We were sneaky and set it up after they went to bed so it was just there in the morning.
 So far it has proved to be very entertaining.

Father's Day

  Happy Father's Day to a wonderful father! 
We surprised him with pictures that I had my talented friend Janelle take so that I could be in them too.

 

 

Then over to the grandpa's houses. We really stopped at both but I forget to take pictures sometimes. 

hellos and goodbyes

 Said goodbye to the mountaineer and HELLO to our pilot. I've never had a car this new or as low miles.. kind of makes me smile :) The kids are excited for a little more room and of course the fact that we bought DVD players to go in it so they can watch movies while we drive.

Some goodbyes are a LOT harder.  The kids said goodbye to their friends who are moving to Nebraska. We will miss them so much!! Jeff and Sheila and their children are so wonderful and we wish them the best in their new home.

Princess Dance Camp

 The girls participated in princess dance camp. They had a lot of fun learning a dance and having tea parties. They got to do a parade and show off their dance but little zee gets a little shy in front of people so she just stood by me for the most part :)

3 weeks after. He will scar on this wrist but overall we were really lucky it wasn't worse.

the Weekend After Memorial Day Camping trip

 We have decided that we need to have our first camping trip each year on the weekend AFTER memorial day. 1- because everyone goes camping for memorial day and 2 - because of #1 Dustin is never off on memorial day weekend... 

We went up the Canyon with some wonderful friends of ours. There were lots of kids to play with, lots of food to eat, and games and good times.

They caught lizards and snakes

 

Until disaster struck and Ryker tripped and fell into the fireplace. There was no fire but there were hot ashes from the night before. I ran to him as fast as I could but not before the damage had been done. Burn on both hands and arms.. poor baby. I win mother of the year for not watching him close enough.... :(

 He is such a little trooper though. After a nap and pain medicine he was ready to play again.
