Kenzie is 2!!!

I can't believe my baby is 2 years old! It goes so fast! She is doing so well. She talks up a storm, can count to 10, sings her ABC's without missing too many letters and pretty much acts like a 13 year old most of the time. She talks back to me with an attitude like you wouldn't believe. But I love her anyway. Happy Birthday Kenz.

The last section

So this has been a 2 year project... but we are almost done!!! Last summer we did the all the other sides but this side. There was a chain link fence down this side and that beautiful shed you see was sitting about 8 feet over on our property. So this year we called in the big guns... We had a local contractor come over with his backhoe and get uner the cement pad with his bucket just scoot the shed over where is it supposed to be. Then we tore down the chain link and put up this beautiful much more private fence. It is so nice to have the whole back yard closed off for privacy and the protection of my children.

Now it is on to more projects. The sprinkler system is next.... ugh!! it never ends.

Our Big News

Jayce, Haylee and Kenzie are excited to announce that they will be getting a new brother or sister in October. The common desire is a brother but we will have to see. Mom-to-be is doing great and hopes the time flies by. Dad-to-be would like to announce that should it be another girl he will be auctioning her off to the highest bidder. I think he has to get by me first!!
We are all excited and wanted to share the news with everyone else.

Zoo

We don't ever get much of a chance to do things with the kids during Spring Break because Dustin is always having to pull extra shifts out at the Sand Dunes. This year Spring Break went through Monday which Dustin happened to have off so I took the day off too and we took the kids up to the zoo. I think they all had a good time.

Easter

I do believe the Easter Bunny found our house again this year. The kids had fun finding their baskets and then we went to Grandma Steck's house for another egg hunt, and then to Grandma Livingston's for more goodies.

I think we have enough candy for a while.... this doesn't include the big stuff that wouldn't fit....

That is her story. Here are the pics.....

Conference Weekend

I love Conference weekend because it is also my birthday weekend whenever my birthday happens to fall on a weekend that is...

So this year was really fun. My dad got conference tickets for everyone so we could go watch a conference live. He got 1/2 for Saturday morning and 1/2 for Sunday morning. We ended up with the Sunday tickets so we decided to go up Saturday and do some shopping and stay over at Dustin's sister's house because her and her husband were going to use some extra tickets and go with us on Sunday. Unfortunately I don't have ANY pictures of the weekend. What? you say. I know can you believe it. I had my camera in my purse the whole time and didn't take one picture...

So I borrowed some to help my narration because whats a story without some pictures.

So Saturday we met my family after the morning session and went to lunch at Denny's.

But on the way there Dustin had to make one stop and when he got back in the car ans started to drive off Kenzie decided to throw up.... so we had to stop and change her clothes and try to clean the car the best we could. Then we got to Denny's but now Kenzie is cranky and won't go see anyone or talk to them. This made Kenley and Leah sad because they live in Logan and don't get to see the kids very often. But we enjoyed lunch. Thanks to dad for providing. Of course my younger brothers orded WAY too much and couldn't finish it all.... then we stood out in the parking lot freezing while we visitied until everyone had to go their separate ways. My parents took the kids with them and so Dustin and I were off to do my birthday shopping. We headed to Jordan Landing where they had just about every store we needed.

After spending all my money we went to Dustin's sister's house where we waited for her husband and his mom, dad, and sister to all get there so we could go out to dinner. We played some pool while we waited. When everyone was there we decided to go eat at Iggy's. So we headed back to Jordan Landing and got there and they told us it would be a 45 minute wait. So we left the boys with the beeper and the girls headed over to Kohls to look around. We got back to Iggy's and waited, and waited..... after about and hour and 15 they finally got us a table. But we made the best of it. And then as we were leaving to my total mortification I was brought some ice cream and was sung to... I have never had that happen to me in 20+ years. So I now know how embarrassing it is... but I laughed and Dustin ate my ice cream. So then we just went back to Talisha's house and hung out the rest of the night.

Sunday morning we met the Trax train at 8:00 and rode it in to downtown. It stopped a couple of blocks away from Temple Square so we joined the crowds and walked to the conference center. We had to be in our seats by 9:00 because they record Music and the Spoken word at 9:30 from there. So we enjoyed listening to that and of course really enjoyed conference.

Afterwards we headed back to catch a train out, said goodbye to Talisha and Tyler at their stop and journeyed on home. Later we had dinner with my family and chocolate cake and birthday presents.
So all in all I had a wonderful birthday. Thanks to Talisha for the best present of the day. I can't wait to turn 21 again next year ;)
